Skin Care Tips: Avocado oil is a MUST for a healthy, glowing skin

Avocado oil is a great ingredient for cooking flavorful and healthy meals. Packed with antioxidants, essential fatty acids, minerals, and vitamins this oil is also an excellent skin care product. Avocado oil is a very absorbent oil which has proven to have numerous benefits for skin. It is great for moisturising dry hands and acting as a natural sunblock. Avocado oil can be  directly to the skin or mixed with essential oils.

The antioxidants and anti-inflammatory agents in avocado oil help your skin stay smooth, strong, and elastic. It is especially good to heal dry skin, calm itchy skin, replenish dry skin and reverse damages caused due to sunlight. Avocado oil is derived from the seeds of the fruit. Avocado oil is a saviour for dry skin but skip this skin care product if you have oily skin. You can also use avocado oil during daytime as it leaves no greasiness on your skin!

As a moisturising lotion

Avocado oil is a great skin care product that can also be used as a moisturising lotion. Massage a good amount of avocado oil into your skin after you shower. This will keep your skin hydrated and supple for a long time!

As a facial moisturiser

Avocado oil can be used as a facial moisturizer at both day and night time. Add a few drops of your favourite essential oils, preferably lavender and rose, to keep your skin acne and blemish free. Regular use of avocado oil will also even out your skin tone!

As a lip scrub

Avocado oil can also be incorporated into your lip scrub. Mix a few drops of avocado oil with a few grains of brown sugar. Since avocado oil is superbly hydrating, it makes your lips supple, moisturised and fixes decolourisation.

As a homemade face pack

To make a face pack, cut a ripe avocado into cubes and add a few drops of avocado oil. Use a butter knife to mash the fruit and oil into an even paste. Apply the paste to your face and keep it for fifteen minutes. Wash off the avocado mask with warm water and pat your skin dry. Moisturize with a fine layer of avocado oil for complete hydration!
